Leclerc says Ferrari will roll out upgrades after Red Bull, McLaren gains in Baku

The Ferrari driver warned the team must act quickly to match rivals' recent upgrades.

Charles Leclerc told media in Baku after the Grand Prix that Ferrari has chassis upgrades in development to respond to recent performance gains by Red Bull and McLaren.

Leclerc, who finished fourth while teammate Lewis Hamilton was sixth, said the street circuit did not suit the current Ferrari car and that the team was lagging in straight‑line speed. He added that Red Bull and McLaren had introduced steps forward with their upgrades, which Ferrari had not yet matched.

"We've got a few things coming, whether this is going to be enough to close the gap, not knowing what the others have in store as well, is another matter. But surely we've got few things that shall help us do some steps forward," Leclerc said to Sportskeeda.

He also noted that losing pace now would make it harder to regain competitiveness later in the season, urging a swift response.
