Blossoms' fifth studio album, Songs From the Wedding Cake, reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart on 9 October, according to the Official Charts Company. The album outperformed a 60th‑anniversary re‑issue of the Beatles' Rubber Soul, which entered the chart at No. 2.
Speaking to the Official Charts Company, the five‑piece said, “We’re made up. To still be doing this 10 years on from our first album, and to still be getting to No. 1, isn’t something we take for granted. Thank you to everyone who bought it, played it or told a mate about it. See you on tour.”
Other chart entries included Olivia Rodrigo at No. 3, Michael Jackson’s greatest‑hits collection at No. 4, and Johnny Marr at No. 5.
