Ben Shapiro’s ICE film resumes shooting after city commission revokes shutdown
The Livingston City Commission lifted its halt on the Daily Wire’s ICE‑themed movie, allowing filming to continue.

Production on the Daily Wire’s ICE‑focused film "Pawn Shop" resumed Monday night in Livingston, Montana, after the city commission reinstated the permit that had been suspended on Oct. 5.
What happened
The special commission meeting on Saturday halted filming, citing community concerns about the food bank and hazardous stunts. A motion temporarily suspended Bonfire Pawn Shop LLC’s permit pending legal review. After a meeting with city officials, permits were restored Monday, and the cast—including Myles Clohessy, Danny Trejo, Harvey Keitel and others—returned to set.
What was said
Ben Shapiro, Daily Wire founder, called the shutdown "content discrimination" and "a violation of the First Amendment," telling Variety, "There’s only one reason the city commissioners ruled they were going to stop our production on the street: politics, pure and simple, and they pretty much admitted it." He added that a commissioner, Cindy Daniels, had said the city could not "sacrifice the resources of the safety, the security of the mental health of our community."
