Producer explains why four Beatles biopics will debut together in 2028
Pippa Harris says the simultaneous release is meant to let viewers experience each band member’s story while building a larger narrative.

Producer Pippa Harris told an industry talk at the BFI London Film Festival that Sony Pictures will launch four Beatles biopics together in April 2028.
What happened
All four films, directed by Sam Mendes and starring Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, Barry Keoghan and Harris Dickinson as the four Beatles, will open in cinemas during the same month. Harris said the plan is for audiences to watch the movies over weeks – one a week, or a varied schedule – rather than all on a single day.
What was said
"The idea at the moment is the films will come out in 2028, and we want people to be able to experience them in the cinema at the same period," Harris said to Variety. She added that the films "stand alone as individual stories" but have a "cumulative power" greater than the sum of the parts.
