Amazon Prime Video announced that the eight‑episode comedy series “Barbershop” will premiere on Feb. 10, 2027. The show follows Jermaine Fowler’s character Travis “Trav” Walker as he returns to Chicago to honor his grandfather’s legacy at the iconic Calvin’s barbershop, now changed alongside the city.

The cast includes Brett Gray, Punkie Johnson, Roy Wood Jr., E. J. Bonilla, Bresha Webb, Bokeem Woodbine, Tiana Okoye and Langston Kerman, with guest appearances by Zack Fox, Ego Nwodim, Diallo Riddle, Ziwe, Tituss Burgess, Comedian CP, Devon Walker and Belmont Cameli. The series is show‑run by Marshall Todd, co‑writer of the original film, and Max Searle, and executive‑produced by Kevin Hart, Bryan Smiley, Mike Stein, Tiffany Brown (Hartbeat), Bradley Gardner (Busy B Entertainment), Cameron Burnett and Autumn Bailey‑Ford (Prominent Productions), George L. Tillman and Robert Teitel (State Street Pictures), Jermaine Fowler and Oz Rodriguez, who also directs. Production is handled by Amazon MGM Studios.
