Abu Dhabi – Ankabut, the UAE’s advanced education‑technology provider, announced a strategic partnership with PowerSchool, a global K‑12 ed‑tech firm, at an event on 22 September 2026 at the ERTH Abu Dhabi Hotel.

What happened

The deal will bring PowerSchool’s connected operating system to UAE schools via Ankabut’s sovereign infrastructure. PowerSchool’s Student Information System (SIS) will be hosted inside Ankabut’s data centre at Khalifa University, keeping student and institutional data within the country.

What the reports add

The partnership aligns with two UAE national‑strategy priorities: accelerating AI adoption in education and reinforcing data‑sovereignty requirements. PowerSchool’s suite includes Arabic language support, right‑to‑left interfaces and Hijri calendar integration, and the company has operated in Dubai since 2023.

What was said

"AI is changing how students learn and how teachers teach, and schools need digital infrastructure that keeps pace," said Tarek Jundi, CEO of Ankabut, as quoted by Gulf News.

How it came about

The collaboration follows Ankabut’s role as the UAE’s national education network and PowerSchool’s regional presence, aiming to give public and private schools a unified, AI‑enabled system for personalised learning.
