Amal Clooney arrived hand‑in‑hand with husband George Clooney in a glittering off‑the‑shoulder gold Gucci gown at the fifth annual Albie Awards on Friday night, the ceremony held at London’s Natural History Museum, according to Standard.
What happened
The awards, created by the Clooneys to spotlight courageous justice defenders, gathered a large number of Hollywood figures. Brad Pitt made a rare public appearance with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon on the red carpet. The event was hosted by comedian Graham Norton.
What the reports add
Both Standard articles note that the Albies are named after anti‑apartheid hero Justice Albie Sachs, who received a lifetime‑achievement award at the charity’s inaugural fundraiser in 2022, as confirmed by the Clooney Foundation for Justice website. Additional attendees listed include Hugh Bonneville, Richard Kind, Laura Dern, Isla Fisher and Emma Thompson, who arrived with her daughter Gaia Wise.
What was said
The Clooneys issued a statement ahead of the ceremony, saying the event aims to “shine a protective spotlight on courageous justice defenders who are at risk, sending a message to those who abuse human rights that the world is watching.” The quotation is attributed to the Clooney Foundation for Justice and reported by Standard.
How it came about
The Albie Awards were founded by George and Amal Clooney to recognise human‑rights work. Earlier Felo coverage explained the Clooney Foundation’s focus on legal advocacy and its previous events, linking to Brad Pitt’s upcoming film projects and the broader Hollywood involvement in charitable causes.
