Sky Atlantic’s new eight‑part series War premieres on October 1, pitting film star Carla Duval (Sienna Miller) against tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson (Dominic West) in a high‑stakes divorce battle, the Guardian reported.
What happened
The drama opens with both parties hiring elite legal teams – Carla enlists boutique firm Taylor & Byrne while Morgan turns to legacy firm Cathcarts. The series follows the ensuing courtroom clashes, media scrutiny and personal betrayals over a fortune that could reshape their lives.
What the reports add
The Guardian notes the show’s tone mixes courtroom intrigue with the sleek, stylised aesthetic of a modern legal thriller, drawing comparisons to Succession. It also highlights the ensemble cast, including Celia Imrie, Nick Mohammed, Emma Laird and Nina Sosanya, who add depth to the legal machinations.
What was said
The article quotes Nina Sosanya’s on‑screen lawyer, Beatrice Ubosi, warning, “If they play dirty, we will be total and utter filth.” The line underscores the series’ promise of ruthless tactics.
How it came about
Earlier Felo coverage detailed Miller’s pregnancy during filming and the series’ launch amid a UK divorce‑boom, linking the show’s premise to rising divorce rates reported by the ONS. The series was first teased in a September trailer that emphasized its blend of humor and drama.
