Vauxhall revealed its Sports Tourer eXperimental (STX) concept on the opening day of the Paris Motor Show, positioning the electric estate as an alternative to the prevailing electric SUV market.
The STX Concept features an all‑wheel‑drive electric powertrain capable of a top speed of 124 mph. Its design includes a taller, more prominent front fascia dubbed the Vizor, an illuminated Griffin emblem at the centre, and a sleek, aerodynamic estate silhouette with a steeply sloping roofline, C‑pillars and glass light strips that extend rearward. The rear lighting mirrors the vertical element of the front, while three‑section alloy wheels and short overhangs contribute to a low‑drag profile.
Active aerodynamics are a key focus: at higher speeds, blue‑coloured diffusers emerge from beneath the rear and vertical elements behind the wheels extend outward to maintain streamlined airflow. The concept also replaces traditional side mirrors with cameras, a modern touch that some drivers may find unnecessary.
Vauxhall says the STX embodies the next stage of its design philosophy, describing it as “bolder, more efficient, more emotional, and purer” than previous models. The vehicle also introduces the latest evolution of the Vauxhall Vizor front fascia, featuring a new angular, vertical lighting signature that moves from the outer edges toward the centre.
Public viewing of the STX Concept will be available in Paris from Monday, and Vauxhall hints that future interior details will expand on its “Painting with Light” approach, first introduced on earlier models.
