Trump calls Ukraine’s oil strikes a “disgrace” after renewed attacks

Trump said Kyiv’s renewed oil‑facility attacks breach his cease‑fire demand and threaten global fuel supplies.

President Donald Trump sharply criticised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after Kyiv resumed drone strikes on Russian oil infrastructure, calling the actions a “disgrace,” Gulf News reported.

On October 6, a Liberia‑flagged Aframax tanker caught fire in the Black Sea near Sochi following a suspected Ukrainian sea‑drone attack. Ukraine announced it would no longer observe the “energy ceasefire” Trump announced a week earlier, citing Russia’s continued attacks on Ukraine’s power grid.

Trump, citing NBC, said the renewed strikes jeopardise global diesel prices and warned that Ukraine’s actions undermine his recent waiver on Russian diesel sanctions. He also reiterated a prior comment that it was “time for Ukraine to get a new president.”
