Trader Joe’s plans three new stores for 2027 after announcing 30‑location expansion

The grocery chain will add stores in Oregon, Florida and Arizona, with openings expected three to six months after each announcement.

Trader Joe’s announced on its website that three additional stores will join its network in 2027, bringing the total number of new locations announced for the year to more than 30, according to nypost.com.

The new sites are slated for Bend, Oregon (61284 S. Highway 97), Boynton Beach, Florida (334 N Congress Ave Unit B) and Phoenix, Arizona (4519 East Thomas Road). The chain told outlets that stores marked as “opening soon” typically begin operations three to six months after being listed online.

Trader Joe’s disclosed a broader rollout earlier in October, revealing 25 new spots across 14 states. Recent openings include West Palm Beach, Fla. on June 12, New Orleans, La. on June 10 and Tucson, Ariz. on May 29. As of Oct. 12, the company listed additional future locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Utah, Washington and more.

The newest store open to the public is in Reading, Massachusetts, which began serving shoppers on Oct. 14. Trader Joe’s now operates over 600 stores, having added 34 locations in 2024 and 43 in 2025. The chain noted that several states—Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, West Virginia and Wyoming—still lack a Trader Joe’s outlet.
