Actress Sophia Bush and former United States women’s national soccer team goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris were married in a private ceremony in upstate New York during the summer of 2025, the pair disclosed in a Vogue interview published on Wednesday.

Harris, who shares daughters Sloane, 5, and Ocean, 4, with ex‑wife and former teammate Ali Krieger, said the children ran around and helped pick flowers, adding that the event was “zero pressure” and “pure joy.” Bush explained she no longer wants to refer to Harris as her “partner,” stating, “You’re not my partner, you know? You’re my wife.”

The wedding night reportedly ended with the family roasting marshmallows. Bush later reflected on the day in her upcoming memoir, "And I Will Tell You Mine: Notes from a Life in Progress," slated for release on Oct. 27, with an excerpt appearing in Vogue.

Harris filed for divorce from Krieger on Sept. 19, 2023, citing an “irretrievably broken” marriage. Harris retired from professional soccer in November 2022, and Krieger retired after the 2023 NWSL season. The two were teammates on World Cup‑winning USWNT squads in 2015 and 2019.
