Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar told PTV Sports' Outside Edge programme that the board is weighing the possibility of dropping captain Babar Azam from the ODI side if his form does not improve. Akhtar said a "big question mark" hangs over the star batter and that similar scrutiny could fall on Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan.
The comments came ahead of Pakistan's home ODI tri‑series against England and Sri Lanka, which begins on Sunday, 18 October, with a match against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi, followed by a game against England on 20 October. The tournament will conclude in Lahore on 31 October.
