Aakash Chopra predicts Ravindra Jadeja will miss New Zealand ODI squad
In a YouTube interview, Chopra argued Jadeja's limited recent use signals his exclusion from the next ODI tour.

Former India batsman Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel that all‑rounder Ravindra Jadeja is unlikely to be selected for the three‑match ODI series against New Zealand, following his limited role in the recent home series versus West Indies.
What happened
India completed a 2‑1 series win over West Indies. Jadeja bowled ten overs in the series opener, taking two wickets for 75 runs, but was omitted from the third ODI. Chopra noted that Jadeja was also kept below newcomer Naman Dhir in the batting order for that match.
What the reports add
Chopra contrasted Jadeja’s situation with the inclusion of Nitish Kumar Reddy, whom he praised for being retained, and Auqib Nabi, a Jammu‑and‑Kashmir pacer who debuted in the second ODI but was dropped for the dead‑rubber. He argued that dropping Nabi after a single outing was unfair.
What was said
"You could have played either Ravindra Jadeja or Naman Dhir. You have, anyway, not played Ravindra Jadeja for a long time. He doesn't play whenever Axar is there. I think he won't be in the ODI squad for the New Zealand tour either," Chopra said to Sportskeeda.
"You kept Nitish Kumar Reddy below Naman Dhir. I don't like it personally because you won't be able to prepare Nitish like this," he added.
"Auqib Nabi played one match where 400 runs were scored. He got hit a lot; everyone did. Why did you play him? Because you needed a bowler who could bat a bit. He had a bad match, and you dropped him in the next match," Chopra argued.
