West Indies captain Shai Hope smashed an unbeaten 102 off 50 balls in the fourth T20 International against India in Hyderabad on Wednesday, securing a 24‑run win and drawing the five‑match series level at 2‑2, Gulf News reported.

What happened

Hope’s innings featured nine sixes and four fours, taking the West Indies to 247/3. India were bowled out for 223, with Keemo Paul claiming five wickets to seal the victory.

What the reports add

The article notes that Hope’s three T20I centuries are all unbeaten scores of exactly 102, a unique feat. It also records that his performance places him alongside Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan as the only captains with three 50‑plus scores in a bilateral T20I series involving Test‑playing nations. Additionally, Hope became the first West Indian to reach three T20I centuries in an away bilateral series and the second West Indian after Nicholas Pooran to register three 50‑plus scores in such a series.
