Pakistani comedian and satirist Shafaat Ali posted an Instagram video urging fellow air travelers to "empty your bowels" before boarding, after he sat next to a passenger whose continuous flatulence made the flight uncomfortable.
Ali said the odor made breathing difficult and triggered a migraine, describing the ordeal as a "survival challenge" at 35,000 feet. He added that personal hygiene becomes a public concern once passengers are inside an aircraft and jokingly appealed to perfume companies to create products for such situations to be sold at airports.
Ali, known for his political satire and impressions, also noted his recent nomination for the Tamgha‑i‑Imtiaz, a civil award scheduled for presentation on 23 March 2027.
