Union‑led walkout over working conditions could disrupt hundreds of EasyJet flights ahead of the holiday season.

EasyJet cabin crew based in Portugal walked out on Friday, Oct 2, over deteriorating working conditions, a move that could ground roughly 500 scheduled flights at Lisbon, Porto and Faro airports, according to the SNPVAC union.
The SNPVAC union said its members will strike again from Dec 19‑23, coinciding with the busy Christmas travel period. Union spokesperson warned that erratic roster changes and pressure to work overtime have harmed crew wellbeing.
EasyJet responded that it is "extremely disappointed" by the strike plans, noting ongoing talks mediated by Portugal’s labour authority DGERT and describing the union’s demands as "unworkable" while pledging to minimise passenger disruption.
