Vogue reported that photographer Rafael Pavarotti celebrated the opening of his first major museum exhibition, “Rafael Pavarotti: Photographer,” at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris on Oct. 2, 2026.

What happened

The exhibition, curated by museum photography curator Sébastien Quéquet and scenographed by Ibby Njoya, opened to the public that day. It displays personal items tracing Pavarotti’s journey from Belém, Brazil, to Paris, including a baby mobile made from rainbow‑colored paper clips, a Kodak point‑and‑shoot borrowed at age 12, and his earliest professional photograph taken in Rio de Janeiro.

What the report adds

Vogue notes that the show also presents striking editorial images set against walls painted in scarlet, fuchsia, canary yellow, plum and terracotta. Highlights include the February 2022 British Vogue cover featuring Adut Akech and Anok Yai, and the February 2026 Vogue Italia cover of Awar Odhiang skiing in the Alps, which revisits a planned 1960s Richard Avedon shoot.

What was said

Co‑host Carlos Jereissati, president and CEO of Iguatemi Group, said, “We are particularly happy to support your exhibition, and to celebrate a Brazilian talent who has created such a distinct voice within the world of fashion.”

How it came about

The exhibition follows Pavarotti’s rapid rise in fashion photography, building on collaborations with stylist Ib Kamara and campaigns for Chanel, Dior, Dries Van Noten, Balmain and H&M, the latter serving as the lead sponsor.
