Project Management Institute (PMI) announced a free online course, PMI Foundations: Project Management for Entrepreneurs, aimed at aspiring and early‑stage entrepreneurs, side‑hustle creators, freelancers and small‑business owners. The five‑hour program, launched on 9 Oct 2026, teaches cash‑flow management, customer validation, project planning and sustainable growth, using templates, reflection exercises, founder insights and AI‑supported brainstorming.
PMI says no formal business or project‑management experience is required. George Asamani, managing director for sub‑Saharan Africa at PMI, told bizcommunity.com that creators need to understand the costs behind brand deals and that project management helps them plan resources wisely.
The course also addresses common challenges such as workload management, effective communication and building support systems, and is available for free via PMI’s website.
