The Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA) held its 17th Graduation Ceremony on 18 October 2026 at the IBA Auditorium, Saddar Campus, Karachi, awarding about 100 graduates and position holders.

Chief Guest Miandad Rahoojo addressed the audience, congratulating the graduates and thanking their families. He reminded attendees that PIPFA was founded in 1993 by ICAP, ICMA Pakistan and the Department of the Auditor General of Pakistan, and that it is a full member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the only Pakistani professional body specialising in public finance.

Rahoojo noted that the new graduates join a community of more than 9,300 members and nearly 39,000 students. He highlighted that public money underpins schools, hospitals and salaries, and that honest management turns it into roads, classrooms, clean water and dignity.

Emphasising integrity, he said, “Your signature is your reputation, and your reputation is the only asset that cannot be rebuilt once it is lost.” He urged graduates to view their work as national service protecting the citizen’s rupee.

The chief guest also discussed emerging trends, citing integrated financial management systems, e‑procurement, data analytics, artificial intelligence and standards such as IPSAS and IFRS. He encouraged continuous learning, sound professional judgement, punctuality, reliable documentation and mentorship of juniors.

Other speakers included PIPFA President Usman Ahsan and Executive Director Imdad Ali Shaikh. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of souvenirs.
