Former Traitor Paul Gorton advises celebrity contestants on winning The Traitors
The ex‑Traitor says contestants should watch tasks closely, befriend traitors and focus on surviving to the end.

Paul Gorton, who played a Traitor on the 2024 civilian series of The Traitors, told the Daily Mail on 30 September that celebrity Faithfuls should change their approach if they want to break the show's winning streak in the second celebrity season launching on 1 October.
What happened
Gorton, 39, explained that the key to success lies in paying close attention to the tasks, building relationships and using the evidence gathered at the round‑table. He recalled his own experience of being a Traitor from day one and being eliminated in episode eight.
What was said
"I think a lot of people miss the point of the tasks," Gorton said to the Daily Mail. He added, "As a Traitor, you're playing but you have to build relationships with people and I think people should be watching the tasks a lot more." He also suggested that Faithfuls should "befriend" any identified Traitor, stay close to them and then betray them at the final stage. "The point of The Traitors isn't to find Traitors. The point is to survive to the end," he said.
How it came about
The celebrity version of the reality competition returns with a cast that includes Jerry Hall, Maya Jama and Richard E. Grant. Earlier this month, Felo News reported that Michael Sheen felt his acting background put him at a disadvantage on the same series.
