Actor Robert Pattinson said his version of Batman would find it difficult to interact with other DC superheroes in James Gunn’s cinematic universe. Pattinson told the Hollywood Reporter that the tone and style of his darker, psychological take on the Dark Knight would clash with the brighter, more action‑oriented tone of Gunn’s DCU, which includes characters such as Superman played by David Corenswet.
He added that the differences in mood and lighting would make it hard for his Batman to fit into the universe, and that the character’s “specific kind of style” would not mesh with the larger DCU narrative. Pattinson also noted that his Batman’s darker approach would make it hard to share scenes with other heroes.
