Pakistan minister blames KP governance failures for Governor's Rule debate
Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry says PTI's poor performance in KP fuels calls for Governor's Rule.

Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry told a private TV channel on Sunday that persistent governance and development failures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are behind the growing debate over imposing Governor's Rule.
He alleged that the PTI‑led provincial government has neglected public welfare, development projects and security, focusing instead on "irrelevant political issues". Chaudhry also referenced more than half a dozen back‑channel meetings between PTI and federal authorities over the past four to five weeks, which failed to resolve the standoff over PTI’s planned march towards Islamabad.
According to sources familiar with the talks, the key demand from the federal side was a clear call‑off of the march, not merely a postponement, due to concerns about large‑scale mobilisation and potential security risks along the route to the capital.
