Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford told reporters on Oct. 1 that his cameo in Taylor Swift’s new "Patient Zero" music video was driven by his desire to give his four daughters a special experience.
Stafford, a Super Bowl champion and reigning NFL MVP, said the family filmed the cameo sometime during the offseason, though he could not recall the exact month. He added that his wife Kelly Stafford also appeared, and that the children were on set watching Swift work behind the scenes.
"They were right there with me," Stafford said, according to the New York Post. "That’s one of the main reasons that I ended up going to do that. She wanted to offer an experience for our family and our kids to see that. I’m obviously really grateful and excited to be in it." He also praised Swift’s production process, noting her involvement in directing, producing, writing and editing.
