Joshua Kerry charged with terrorism plot against Nigel Farage
The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed the charge following a Counter Terrorism Policing probe.

Joshua Kerry, 28, of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, has been charged with engaging in conduct in preparation of acts of terrorism, including a plot targeting Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, the Independent reported on 2 October 2026.
The charge relates to alleged activities between 31 May 2024 and 8 July 2026 and follows a Counter Terrorism Policing investigation that also linked Kerry to the murder of former Tory minister and Reform UK spokeswoman Ann Widdecombe, who died at her Devon home on 8 July 2026.
The Crown Prosecution Service authorised the charge after confirming sufficient evidence to proceed. Kerry is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 7 October.
