IKEA and Xbox unveil YXSTABY gaming‑themed furniture line
The new line includes a thumb‑stick stool, D‑pad platter and a steel‑rod lounge chair.

IKEA and Xbox have released the YXSTABY collection, a nine‑piece range of gaming‑inspired furniture and accessories, according to Mashable.
What happened
The collection, named after a Swedish locality that contains the letters X, Y, B and A, was first shown at Gamescom in August and went on sale on 2 October 2026. Items range from a low‑profile TV stand on castor wheels to a stool shaped like an oversized Xbox thumb‑stick.
What the reports add
Mashable notes that the YXSTABY Gaming D‑pad controller platter is subtle enough to double as a fruit tray, though its reflective stainless‑steel surface attracts fingerprints. The X‑shaped green Gaming D‑pad cushion, while bold, is described as comfortable for arm support and useful for gamers with arm pain. The lounge chair mirrors IKEA’s POÄNG design but replaces wood veneer with galvanized steel rods, adds Xbox‑green stitching and includes a mesh pocket for controllers.
What was said
An IKEA spokesperson told Mashable the name was chosen because the locality’s letters match the Xbox controller buttons.
How it came about
The partnership builds on a trend of brands entering home‑gaming spaces, a theme also explored in Felo’s recent piece on gaming‑marketing strategies.
