The Israel Defence Forces and Shin Bet announced that Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, the man who drove the motorcycle used to abduct 25‑year‑old Noa Argamani and her boyfriend Avinatan Or from the Nova music festival on 7 October, was killed in an airstrike in central Gaza. The strike, carried out jointly by the IDF, Shin Bet and the Police’s Unit 33, targeted Sakr in the Nuseirat area. Sakr was described by the IDF as a terrorist operative linked to global jihadist organisations and as having supplied weapons to Hamas during the war. He had continued terrorist activities after the initial raid, working with Hamas and Islamic Jihad. The IDF said the operation was intended to remove the threat posed by Sakr, who had been involved in attacks against Israeli troops and civilians in breach of the ceasefire. The strike also coincided with the killing of Hamas commander Muhammad Hamad Muhammad Gabai, as announced by the IDF on the same day.
