Horses, a restaurant that opened in 2021 on Sunset Boulevard, has announced it will relaunch at a new location on the Sunset Strip after closing in 2025. The venue, known for its French‑brasserie and California‑seasonal menu, was a favourite of high‑profile diners such as Beyoncé, Jay‑Z, Jeff Bezos and Will Ferrell. The closure followed a series of legal disputes, including a divorce that saw the founding chef‑owners, Liz Johnson and Will Aghajanian, accuse each other of domestic abuse and animal cruelty. The restaurant’s parent company, Horses Holdings LLC, also faced tax liens of nearly $530,000 in December 2025. The new address will be announced shortly, with the restaurant’s Instagram page posting a sign that it was closing temporarily for repairs due to structural issues caused by heavy rain in December 2025. The relaunch marks a comeback for a venue that had been a key part of Los Angeles’ celebrity dining scene.
