Variety confirms that “Heart of a Killer,” the Israeli medical thriller starring Niv Sultan, has been renewed for a second season. The seven‑episode first season debuted earlier this year on Hot and quickly became one of the platform’s most‑watched series.
Federation International, the sales arm of Federation Studios, will launch global sales for Season 1 at MIPCOM this week. The series is a co‑production between Shari Redstone’s Sipur Studios and The North Road Company, following their previous collaboration on Netflix’s “Bad Boy.”
Created by Liad Shoham, Gal Zaid and Roni Yaddor, the show was produced by Endemol Shine Israel and directed by Evgeny Ruman. Executive producers include Amir Ganor (Endemol Shine), Amy Israel (North Road), Emilio Schenker and Gideon Tadmor (Sipur), and Ori Gal, Dana Mendlinger and Mirit Toovi (Hot).
“We’re thrilled to be bringing ‘Heart of a Killer’ to the world,” said Monica Levy, co‑head of international sales at Federation International. “It’s a bold, high‑stakes thriller with a remarkable lead, Niv Sultan.” Sipur CEO Emilio Schenker added that the series’ strong launch in Israel will help it reach new audiences worldwide.
