Billboard says Ariana Grande will appear as Olivia Jones in the upcoming comedy Focker‑In‑Law, the latest entry in the Meet the Parents franchise. New promotional posters were released on Oct. 12, showing Grande alongside Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller and other cast members.
The film, directed by John Hamburg, is scheduled to open in theaters on Nov. 25, timed for the Thanksgiving weekend. Grande’s character is described as a former FBI hostage negotiator who becomes engaged to Henry Focker (Skyler Gisondo), prompting suspicion from his father Greg Focker (Stiller) and a different approach from De Niro’s Jack Byrne.
Billboard notes that despite Grande’s earlier announcement to step back from public appearances after her Eternal Sunshine tour, she will participate in the film’s fall press campaign and continue work on her beauty brand, R.E.M. Beauty.
