Dubai’s Global Village opened its 31st season on 14 October 2026 under the theme “A More Wonderful World,” and visitors from several countries have already voiced their excitement about the food, cultural pavilions and rides, Gulf News reported.
What happened
The attraction welcomed tourists and UAE residents from early evening, with crowds lining the gates before the 6 pm gate opening. Guests explored 29 themed pavilions representing over 90 cultures, more than 250 dining options and a variety of family‑friendly rides.
What the reports add
Gulf News quoted Lamees Kadhim, an Iraqi tourist living in Germany, who said she was eager to sightsee the different country pavilions for the first time. Urvi Battol, a Pakistani expatriate, highlighted her goal of sampling diverse foods and shopping for items such as shawls and rings. Madagascar expatriates Areff Issack Sairah and Gabiolla Rasoarinasy emphasized their plan to try as many dishes as possible, from Chinese to Indian cuisine. Priscilla Abban, a Ghanaian visitor, noted that Global Village was the final stop on her Dubai itinerary before returning home.
What was said
"I am a tourist here and I never visited the Global Village, so I'm excited about sightseeing all the places, from all areas and all the countries," Kadhim told Gulf News. "I am here to explore different food, and see the different kinds of culture for myself," Battol said. "We are looking forward to food. All the food. We want to test all food, like Chinese food and Indian food," Sairah exclaimed. "I love the views," Rasoarinasy added when asked about her favourite part of the venue. "I really want to see it. This is my first time here and I was told it is a must‑see if you've been to Dubai," Abban said.
How it came about
Earlier coverage by Felo News detailed the opening night parade, choir performance and a 600‑drone sky show, as well as the season’s schedule of 40,000 shows through May 2027. The current visitor impressions build on that background, showing how the attraction’s mix of food, shopping and entertainment continues to draw international crowds.
