Medical sources and Gaza’s civil‑defence service reported that at least eight Palestinians were killed and several others wounded in a series of Israeli strikes and gunfire across the Gaza Strip on Thursday and Friday.

On Friday, Israeli forces east of the central Gaza Strip opened live fire near the Al‑Maghazi and Al‑Bureij refugee camps, killing a man shot in the neck and injuring several others. The previous day, Gaza’s civil‑defence service said seven people died in separate Israeli attacks, including six killed in Gaza City – two in a drone strike on a car, one in a drone strike on a tent, a woman killed by artillery, and a civilian shot southeast of Deir Al‑Balah.

UN Women’s chief of humanitarian action, Sofia Calltorp, told reporters in Geneva that more than 38,000 women and girls have been killed since the October 2025 ceasefire, with nearly 50,000 injured, and that female‑headed households have doubled.
