Russian drone and missile attacks on Sunday killed eight civilians across Ukraine, including a 16‑year‑old girl in Sumy, a child in a kindergarten, and a man in Kyiv, according to Ukrainian authorities. President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia fired about 3,900 drones, aerial bombs and missiles in the past week, targeting civilian infrastructure such as schools, kindergartens and a data centre in Kyiv. Moscow’s defence ministry claimed it struck a Kyivstar data centre and an Omega Telecom facility, saying the firms supported the Ukrainian army. Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi reported the strike on a children’s centre in Sumy, while Kyiv mayor Vitaly Klitchko said a woman and two 16‑year‑olds were wounded in the capital. The Odesa region said a “massive strike” killed one person and damaged housing, a shop, a hotel, a medical building and a grain warehouse. Moscow vowed to continue the war, saying it would intensify attacks on Kyiv after a drone strike on Moscow.
