Freddie Freeman rejects claim Dodgers are too old to beat Brewers

Freeman says the Dodgers’ age does not dictate performance ahead of a must‑win game.

Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman pushed back against narratives that the Los Angeles team is too old to compete with the Milwaukee Brewers ahead of Game 4 of the 2026 National League Championship Series, the New York Post reported.

Speaking at a press conference at Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium, Freeman said, “That’s just people’s opinions. We do know we have an older team, that doesn’t mean we’re playing bad because we’re old. We’re just not playing that great,” and added, “I don’t feel old so hopefully when we play tonight, you can say we don’t look old and we win that game.”

The Dodgers face elimination after three straight losses, and a win would keep their season alive, while a sweep would end their defending‑champion run.
