Owaisi alleges Form‑7 bulk filings target Muslim voters in Hyderabad

The MP says 122 pre‑printed Form‑7s were submitted against voters in three booths, and calls for criminal cases.

Hyderabad MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said on Tuesday that pre‑printed Form‑7 applications were being used to delete Muslim voters from the electoral roll during Telangana's Special Intensive Revision (SIR). He pointed to bulk filings in the Goshamahal Assembly constituency, specifically in Booth Nos. 28, 30 and 127.

Owaisi questioned how a single individual could submit 122 Form‑7s and demanded identification of the person behind the applications. He alleged that BJP leaders were behind the filings and urged the Chief Election Commissioner to act if the Election Commission were truly independent.

He also called for criminal cases against anyone submitting Form‑7s in bulk and asked for a transparent CEC selection process involving the Prime Minister, the Leader of the Opposition and the Chief Justice of India.
