Forest Green Rovers operate without manager after Robbie Savage exit

Club owner Dale Vince says a three‑coach set‑up will steer Forest Green while they search for a permanent replacement.

By Felo News Desk · Published

Forest Green Rovers announced on Wednesday that they will not appoint a new manager immediately after Robbie Savage left for Peterborough United earlier this month, according to the Independent.

Owner Dale Vince told BBC Radio Gloucestershire there is "no vacancy" and the club will "try something new" with the existing coaching trio of Josh Bowen, Yan Klukowski and Jonathan Gould. He added the coaches have Premier League and Championship experience and know the players well.

The three coaches oversaw a 4‑2 loss to Hartlepool that extended the side’s winless run to five matches. Vince said the club is not in a hurry and will assess the arrangement over the coming weeks.
