Manchester City striker Erling Haaland announced he has bought a five‑bedroom villa in the Manchester City‑branded Yas Residences development in Abu Dhabi, according to Gulf News.
Haaland made the announcement in a video appearance at the launch of phase two of the project, held at Etihad Arena on Monday, October 12. The event, organised by developer Ohana, attracted more than 4,000 guests.
The Yas Residences span a 1.67 million‑square‑metre site along Yas Canal and will eventually contain over 2,000 homes, including townhouses, duplexes and larger villas. Construction is underway, with phased delivery slated to begin by 2029 and sales scheduled to start on October 19.
Former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was the guest of honour and was named the development’s official brand ambassador. Haaland’s father, Alfie, a former City player, also attended and collected keys to his own property in the community.
