Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said the 12th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) will be held from 10 to 13 January 2027. The four‑day gathering, organised jointly by RTA, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Emaar Properties and the Project Management Institute (PMI), will run under the theme “From Vision to Impact”.
What happened
The RTA announced on 18 October 2026 that the forum will bring together government officials, business leaders, international experts and project‑management specialists to discuss how artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainable infrastructure and crisis preparedness can improve project delivery. The event will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.
What the reports add
Gulf News noted that the forum, now in its 12th edition, will feature four main themes and 12 specialised topics. The first theme, “Future trends and technology”, will examine digital transformation, innovation, organisational readiness and data‑driven decision‑making. The second theme, “Sustainable communities”, will explore smart‑city development, sustainable infrastructure and long‑term economic and social growth.
What was said
Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, said the forum’s theme reflects Dubai’s approach to turning ambitious plans into practical achievements. “The theme of the 12th edition, ‘From Vision to Impact’, captures the essence of Dubai’s experience and its approach to delivery, built on clarity of vision, sound planning, swift execution and measuring the impact of projects on people’s lives and society,” Al Tayer told Gulf News.
How it came about
Since its launch in 2014, the forum has grown into an international platform for exchanging expertise on project planning and implementation. According to Al Tayer, the previous 11 editions attracted more than 25,000 participants and over 450 speakers. The upcoming edition follows Dubai’s recent hosting of the Global Sustainability & CSR Forum in October 2026, underscoring the city’s push to position itself as a hub for sustainability and innovation.
