Mohammed Shakaa, a Dubai resident, arrived at an Apple Store on October 24, 2026 carrying 53 iPhones ranging from the first‑generation model to the iPhone 18 Pro Max, according to Khaleej Times. Apple staff had contacted him the day before and asked if he could bring his collection when he came to collect two newly released iPhone Duo devices.
What happened
Shakaa’s personal collection, which he displays at home, includes multiple colour variants of several models. He said he owns only a few phones from other brands, such as Motorola and Samsung, but his primary interest has always been Apple. The visit marked his third consecutive year of being among the first in line for a major Apple launch, completing what he called a personal “hat‑trick.”
What was said
"iPhone collection is my hobby, and it is also a challenge for me," Shakaa told Khaleej Times. He added, "I have almost the whole iPhone collection, from the first generation until the iPhone 18 Pro Max… I am a die‑hard Apple fan." Regarding the Duo, he said, "When Apple Duo bookings opened, I got the chance to book it… I have been waiting for it for more than three years. Today, I am very happy to receive it."
How it came about
Shakaa, originally from Karachi, has followed rumours about Apple’s foldable phone for over three years. The iPhone Duo launched in Dubai on October 23, 2026, after a pre‑order outage on October 16, and high demand has pushed delivery dates into 2027, as reported in earlier Felo News coverage. Shakaa hopes his enthusiasm will encourage others and aspires to attend a future Apple launch in California.
