In an exclusive interview with The News Minute, Indian YouTuber and influencer Dhruv Rathee said he attended a protest in Bengaluru organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and a rollback of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Rathee emphasized that he is not affiliated with any political regime, stating, “I’m not on anyone’s payroll. I’m not here for a regime change.” He added that his presence at the rally was meant to raise issues he believes affect every Indian.

The interview, recorded on 9 October 2026, also referenced recent comments by Elon Musk about alleged obstruction of Starlink in India, which prompted Rathee to clarify his neutrality.

Describing the atmosphere, Rathee said the crowd’s energy was “crazy” and that supporters encouraged him to speak. He reiterated his long‑standing support for the CJP’s demands: the resignation of the CEC, appointment of a neutral successor, and reversal of the SIR changes.

Looking ahead to a larger march in Delhi on 10 October, Rathee noted that many police officers he met appeared sympathetic, though some might be acting under orders. He expressed hope that, if the situation deteriorates, most officers would side with the nation rather than merely follow directives.

When asked about the broader opposition bloc (the INDIA alliance), Rathee welcomed the unity of parties and citizens across age groups, saying the issue concerns “every single citizen in the country.”
