YouTuber and political commentator Dhruv Rathee arrived in Bengaluru on Thursday to join a protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, Gulf News reported.

The demonstration, organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and supported by youth and civil‑society groups, is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. at Freedom Park. Actor‑activist Prakash Raj announced Rathee as a “special guest”, and Rathee confirmed his attendance in a video urging followers to take part.

Organisers plan a People’s Tribunal where individuals allegedly affected by the SIR will share experiences, and they are demanding greater transparency and the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. A “Chappal Protest” is also on the Thursday programme, and the CJP says the Bengaluru event will be followed by a larger rally at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on 10 October.
