Billboard reports that the official video for Christian Nodal’s 2018 single “No Te Contaron Mal” has surpassed one billion views on YouTube, making it the Mexican singer’s second video to join the platform’s Billion Views Club after “Adiós Amor.”
Directed by Omar Torres and Victor Zambrano, the video reached the milestone on October 8, 2026. The track, written with producer‑songwriter Edgar Barrera, appeared on Nodal’s 2019 album Ahora and spent 38 weeks atop Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart, earned a Latin Grammy, and was named Regional Mexican Song of the Year at the BMI Latin Awards.
Barrera told Billboard that the song was written in 30 minutes during a remote‑city session in Jalpa, Jalisco, after a mutual friend introduced him to Nodal. Nodal’s latest album, Bandera Blanca, arrived in May 2026 and is being promoted on his Pa’l Cora Tour 2026.
