Parampreet Singh, 60, of Davis, California, was sentenced on Oct. 7, 2026, to ten years in federal prison and ordered to forfeit $2 million after pleading guilty to conspiring to distribute cocaine, heroin, opium and ketamine.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Singh led a cross‑border operation that, between Oct. 2020 and Apr. 2021, moved roughly 10 kg of cocaine, 1.5 kg of opium, 2 kg of ketamine and multiple heroin samples to undercover officers in Canada and Sacramento. The scheme generated about $637,600 CAD and $75,190 USD.
Prosecutors said Singh worked with co‑defendants Ranvir Singh and Amandeep Multani, among others, using encrypted cellphone apps to arrange deals. Multani pleaded guilty in Dec. 2022 and received time served in Dec. 2025; Ranvir Singh was convicted in Oct. 2025 and awaits sentencing.
The investigation involved the DEA, Homeland Security Investigations, the FBI, York Regional Police, the RCMP and the Placer County Special Investigations Unit.
