Brooke Eby, a TikTok creator known for documenting her ALS battle, died at age 37, the ALS Network said on Oct. 1.

Eby was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis at 33 and spent the next four years using her platform—over 300,000 followers—to share her experience, from taking medication with a beer bong to describing breathing‑test failures.

"Brooke changed the way people see ALS, but she also changed the way people living with ALS find and support one another," said Sheri Strahl, president and CEO of the ALS Network.

She founded the Slack community ALS Together, which connects people with the disease, and described her approach as "show don’t tell" in a 2025 Rolling Stone interview, saying she wanted viewers to feel a personal connection to the fight against ALS.

According to the Mayo Clinic, ALS typically gives patients two to five years after symptom onset, and most cases occur in people over 60, making Eby’s advocacy at a younger age notable.
