On-loan defender Ronald Araujo told the Independent that it is "very early" to talk about a permanent Liverpool transfer, despite the club holding a £47 million option to buy the 28‑year‑old Uruguayan.
Araujo, who has made 10 appearances and become a fan favourite at right‑back, said he is "just trying to enjoy every day" and is happy with his family’s situation. He added that adapting to Liverpool’s demands felt familiar after his time at Barcelona.
The defender is set to start in Liverpool’s Champions League home game against Villarreal on Tuesday, having already contributed a goal and an assist in the first two league matches of the season.
