Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre launches AngelEye NICU camera system
The AngelEye system lets parents view their infant’s bedside on phones, tablets or computers, easing separation stress.

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Ontario, is installing the AngelEye CameraSystem in its neonatal intensive care unit, making it the first Canadian hospital to provide families with secure remote video of a newborn’s bedside, Trendhunter reported.
The system streams live video to personal devices and includes care‑team updates, allowing parents to stay connected during pumping, feeding and recovery periods. The unit admits nearly 400 newborns each year, and the hospital says the technology offers a family‑facing service rather than a purely internal monitoring tool.
Trendhunter notes that remote bedside access is reshaping hospital visibility by reducing separation strain without expanding the physical footprint of NICUs.
