Amazon announced Thursday the launch of two new personal‑AI gadgets developed by Bee, the wearable AI firm it bought last year. The silicone Bee Frontier wristband, which can also clip to clothing, retails for $74.99, while the credit‑card‑sized Bee Eclipse, which magnetically attaches to the back of a phone, costs $99.99.
Both devices feature built‑in microphones that record and transcribe spoken conversations, then generate summaries, to‑do lists, reminders and suggested actions. Amazon said the tech can, for example, capture travel plans discussed on a call and produce a trip summary with flight times and hotel details.
Users may link the Bee devices to Gmail, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook and Amazon’s Alexa+ service, enabling the AI to draft follow‑up emails or create calendar invites based on the dialogue. A free tier offers 14 days of memory, while a paid Bee Pro subscription at $11.99 per month unlocks deeper integration and advanced suggestions.
Amazon emphasized privacy, stating that recordings are deleted after transcription and that neither Amazon nor any third party can access the data without user permission.
