AC/DC wrapped up its two‑year Power Up Tour on Friday at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, the concert’s original September 25 date having been pushed back by a nor’easter. Foo Fighters opened the rescheduled show, and frontman Dave Grohl joined AC/DC onstage for a surprise rendition of “Highway to Hell.”

Brian Johnson told the crowd, “A very good friend of ours asked us today if he could come up and join us for ‘Highway for Hell.’ And we said, ‘Yes Dave, you can,’” as reported by Rolling Stone. Grohl, who described the moment as a “childhood dream,” added, “I saw the Let There Be Rock movie at 11… I want to do that for the rest of my life,” during Foo Fighters’ set.

The Power Up Tour, launched in May 2024 to support the band’s 2020 album of the same name, may be the group’s last, Johnson hinted at the show’s close, thanking fans and saying, “Good night, hope we’ll see you again.”
