Willi Carlisle and a puppet rendition of Tyler Childers appear together in a whimsical music video for “Gas Station,” the latest single from Carlisle’s forthcoming double album, The Universal Bubba. The clip, directed by Mike Vanata of Western AF, shows Carlisle wandering a gas station while puppet versions of Childers and his band, the Food Stamps, accompany him. The song was co‑written by Carlisle, Kenny Miles and Childers and was created during a spontaneous studio session in New Orleans, according to Carlisle’s interview with Rolling Stone. The album, slated for release on November 6 via Signature Sounds, marks the first record produced by Childers for another artist.
