Max Verstappen used his Instagram account on Saturday to denounce the online abuse aimed at his Verstappen Racing teammate Chris Lulham after the GT World Challenge race in Portugal.

During the endurance event, Lulham received a drive‑through penalty that dropped his car to 24th place before Verstappen took over and finished ninth, including a late overtake on Arthur Leclerc.

Verstappen wrote, “I also feel I need to speak up about the hate and harassment Chris has received after the race. Everyone can have their opinions about what happened on track, but these personal attacks are not okay,” as reported by the Independent.

The statement follows recent remarks by Alpine driver Franco Colapinto, who asked his followers to stop abusing fellow drivers.
